Comment by IBN Member Joan Morais on August 16, 2010 at 3:39pm: Victoria, yes you can add loofah powder to scrubs. I have never tried to powder loofah in a food processor. If you try it, make sure and feel the powder to make sure there are no jagged edges to tear the skin.

If so, I am wondering if you could make your own loofa powder by cutting up a regular loofa and processing it through the food processer blades or if you would suggest not to do that. Thanks.

It is one of the most clear explanations for what is and what is not allowed as far as coloring cosmetics that I have ever read!
