I'll chime in and suggest that you check out the Dish Forum.  It's a great resource for all things soap related (and other B&B products as well).  You can learn about cold process soap, hot process, liquid soap and everything in between.  Be prepared to spend hours and hours reading through lots of helpful information.  It's not the be-all and end-all of soap making but it's a great start.  :)

I can't help you with soap but if it's simple bath bombs you want, those are easy.  I recommend you check out Making Soap here at Indie AND Making Cosmetics here as well.  Stroll through discussions there and make use of the Search feature.  There are also great videos on YouTube and recipes all over the web. Soap Queen TV is a GOOD place to start.  As with any new thing, everything in this industry alot of trial and error and even more time invested in learning :-)  It just comes with the territory.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

I looked up Gluten-Free Goodness that you suggested, but unfortunately it is already taken.

Hi Everyone!
I would love to get your suggestions. I am looking for a three word tagline that will identify The Bath Nook as gluten free. Some gluten free food stores have a tagline such as "a gluten-free grocery" or "a gluten-free marketplace." Most gluten free businesses that do not have gluten free in the business name you will see a tagline.

1) gluten-free skincare

2) a gluten free ___________ shop

WooHoo! Look who's here! Please join me in welcoming Dusty Warren of The Bath Nook in Clarksville, TN.

Dusty, feel free to jump into the mix. Post your tagline question here and we'll help you brainstorm the gluten-free target niche.

Hey Susan....a road trip in your future?  I think you would find that the southern part of the country would be alot like your home country.  Very much alive with nature, rolling hills, etc. Here were I am, we have mountains that take your breath away.  The Smoky Mountains are just a couple of hours from me...check out the Gatlinburg group...that is the Smoky Mountains. I've never been to Virginia but I can see where you would want to visit there. Heck you may even decide that you want to be southerner by choice.  Can you say Y'all and Yonder....LOL

Comment by Susan Mann - Manor Hall Soap on August 14, 2011 at 9:41am

Hey, Ginger... I've always wanted to go to Virginia. Like... since being a child growing up on cowboy films back in England. I'm also a huge Scarlett fan. Richmond is sooo on my "must do" dream list for too many reasons to count!

I've just checked out where Chattanooga is on googlemaps (pardon me, sir...)  Hmm... it's 8hrs 55mins from you by car. And guess what... Richmond is 8hrs 42mins from me here in Springfield!
