"How To Hire A Virtual Assistant"

One of the discussions I have most with members and clients revolve around the issue of "not having enough time to do it all." Everyone has this issue, from moms to single people with no full-time job and all day to work their business. But even so, many of them dig in their heels and refuse to hire help. They think they can do it all. Indies tend to form incredibly bad habits in this area.

But here's the deal -- when you try to do it all, you end up accomplishing less. Oh, sure, most of us have to do it all at first (I did), but at some point, you have to realize that you cannot grow or even sustain your business if you don't have help. And one of the best ways to get the help you need is to hire a virtual assistant to deal with important details that you don't have to personally manage yourself.

In this call, you'll learn:
- how to know when it's time to hire an assistant
- how to know whether a virtual assistant would be better for you than someone in your office
- how to look for and interview a virtual assistant
- how to decide what to ask your VA to do
- how to begin to delegate specific tasks to your VA
- and so much more!

"How to Host a Branded Radio Show to Promote Your Business"

There are many ways to promote your business, and most Indies take full advantage of the free ones like Facebook and Pinterest. And that's all well and good. But if you want to step things up a bit, you might want to look into leveraging other promotional tools to shake things up, and a radio show in your local area just might be the ticket.

Used properly, a radio show will not only promote your business, but also your expertise. Ever wanted to be known as "The INSERT YOUR TOWN HERE Soap Lady?" Or the "Massage Expert of "INSERT YOUR TOWN?" A radio show is the way to do that, and drive more informed buying traffic to your site and to your store!

In this call, you'll learn:
- how to select a topic for your show
- how to approach a radio station about buying air time
- how to choose the best time slot
- how to choose guests and set up interviews of them
- how to negotiate your air time price
- how to use your show to drive informed buyers to your site and/or retail store
- and so much more!

"Establishing A Solid Corporate Structure For Your Business"

One of the hallmarks of a well organized business is a logical corporate structure. A solid corporate structure makes it easier for you to keep track of expenses, follow up on outstanding invoices and pay taxes in a timely fashion.

In addition to the practical reasons for formalizing your business structure, there are also many mental and emotional benefits to structuring things, including the peace of mind that comes simply from knowing things are organized.

The right business structure can streamline your operations and ensure that you don't pay more taxes than you have to.

In this Success Call, Donna Maria will interview Nellie Akalp, a passionate entrepreneur, small business advocate and mother of four. As CEO of CorpNet.com, an online legal document filing service, Nellie helps small business owners form an LLC or incorporate a business to start their ventures off the right way. Nellie has formed more than 100,000 corporations and LLCs across, and she will be on hand to share some of her best tips to help you settle on the best corporate structure for you.

"Trademarks In The Digital Age"

Since the issuance by the US Patent & Trademark Office of the first registered trademark in 1875 to Bass Brewery, much of trademark law has remained the same. A trademark is still a distinctive indicator of your brand, making it easier for people to recognize the source of the goods and services you offer. But while a trademark is still a trademark, technological advances require small business owners view trademark issues through new lenses. When trademark laws were written, there was no Internet, no FaceBook and no Google. Your trademark is easily one of the most valuable assets a small business will ever own, yet most small business owners consider it as an afterthought. In this Success Call, we'll approach trademarks from the perspective of a small business owner using the Internet to grow a business, and we'll uncover the most important things you must consider when creating, registering and defending your brand online.

Donna Maria will interview Bryan Baer, Esq. Bryan graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia, and attended the University of Georgia School of Law where he served as Editor in Chief of the Journal of Intellectual Property Law. Today, Bryan is a partner with the Atlanta law firm of Kalka & Baer where he specializes in helping Fortune 500 companies and mom and pops businesses alike to maintain their intellectual property -- including trademarks.

Donna Maria will interview longtime IBN member and Gatlinburg, Tennessee Local Director Cynthia Johnston, who has been using FaceBook ads with great success, making way more money than she spends spreading the word about her herbal products. Cynthia will share how she uses FaceBook's program to target her ads to the customers who are most likely to buy her products.
